I know its been a while, but I have some plans. I'm gonna be moving this blog to a cooler named blog ,streetscraper.blogspot.com, it will still be the same blog just a better name. Hopefully I'll be able to start working on roll cage stuff , and some min body work aswell. So keep checking back

So Ive been over in Connecticut since the 23rd and there hasn't been too much to post up. Alright here's some old news, Ive been driving this Cressida since November. I got it from Bill Washburn over at DSG in Norwood Mass. I don't have any shots of the shop because I had to use someone else cam and they haven't got them too me yet. Too bad because this shop is so nice, we pulled around the corner of this old industrial complex and we see a r33 GTR, STIs, and EVOs. It was really amazing to see all of these cars. Anyway Bill really hooked me up, he gave me a box of spar parts, 8 extra wheels and tires (4 snows) and the car all for 600. Although it did need a head gasket it was well worth it especially since he threw the part in with all the rest of the stuff.

Don't have any picks of the engine bay all buttoned up but it is.

The beginning of cool stuff

So today I had the day off of work, would have liked to work and get the extra money to put into the car. On the other hand it was nice to accomplish some cool things. I thought I would take the time to fab up some pipes for my new mid mount ic setup. My boss is real cool and lets me use his super nice tig welder when ever I want to do some nice fab work. So the day started out with me freezing out in the garage, making sure all the pipes would fit nicely. After a hour, and taking breaks every fifteen minuets to warm up my hands, I was ready to go weld up the pipes. Everything came out looking good just need to try it out on the car.

The newly cut holes for the piping and reduced structural support, have to fix the support thing at some point.

The layout before the welding, it makes such a difference when there's a nice work area, especially when its warm.

Jiging up the parts can be kind of hard with aluminum, I just had the pipe resting on the magnets.

Couple of nice welds.

Finished product, might need some tweaking, I'll see when I try it out on the car.

Disassembly

So yesterday I finished with school for the semester, and I got motivated to start working on the car. I'm getting it ready to put a custom roll cage in. The carpet has been out of the car for over a year so that's nothing new. However, I was able to pull the dash out, remove the passenger seat, and the seat belt tracks, but had to stop because it started to get dark. The garage where I work on the car doesn't have power any more, because a truck delivering wood took down the power wire. Although it does have an 60 amp sub panel that I put in a few years back, that could be fully operational, my uncle wont turn it on.

Took out the rear seat and a few panels, I gonna have some super nice gussets on the cage

Not gonna have room for theses seat belts any more plus auto seat belts suck

This is the cool sub panel that I put in the garage about 3 years ago, it can support most 240v welders and can also run my air compressor through the 115v outlet. Unfortunately my uncle doesn't like to turn it on for me anymore.

Ok so I thought I should formally introduce myself. My name is Will and my buddy Jon and I are the only two serious drifters in the area. I'm located in the New Paltz/ Kingston area of NY. We are also associated with the famous Drift Faction. Unlike most people in our area we are into making sick stuff for our cars, we are the only ones that we allow work on out cars and do all the cool modifications like modded spindles, custom intercooler setups, roll cages, high performance engine building, and engine management. So I'm planing to keep this thread to mainly fabrication and tech stuff so you can see how the car progresses.
